There are many reasons people volunteer, including giving something back to the community, learning new skills and gaining knowledge of local history. You can make friends and feel part of the Insole Court family, get involved in new challenges and gain a sense of achievement.
We have a whole host of exciting opportunities for our Volunteers to get involved with:

In the Gift Shop you would help by taking telephone calls, guiding visitors to the right part of the site, showing people around our hire spaces and selling goods in our shop. Dress code: Smart/casual
House *Weekly or Fortnightly, 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm
Here you’d be welcoming visitors to the house, signposting them to the beautiful rooms available to view and facilitating the ‘This House is a Stage’ exhibition.

Translation When possible, we try to produce our marketing material in both Welsh and English. If you are a proficient Welsh speaker with good language skills, happy to help on a semi-regular basis, we’d love to hear from you. Translation work could be done onsite or from home.
By applying to volunteer at Insole Court you undoubtedly share our passion for its heritage, community space and gardens.
We hope you will feel a sense of pride at being a part of an enthusiastic team and go on to create strong and lasting friendships with other Volunteers and staff.
In addition you can expect the following benefits:
- social events and behind the scenes previews
- discount in gift shops
- reward scheme/gifts
- practical work experience, where possible
- relevant job references
- Review/feedback for Duke of Edinburgh, Welsh Baccalaureate etc.
If you feel that you could help us, be it regularly or only once every 6 months, we’d love to have you on board.
