Give Something Back to the Community

There are many reasons people volunteer, including giving something back to the community, learning new skills and gaining knowledge of local history. You can make friends and feel part of the Insole Court family, get involved in new challenges and gain a sense of achievement.

By applying to volunteer at Insole Court you undoubtedly share our passion for its heritage, community space and gardens.
We hope you will feel a sense of pride at being a part of an enthusiastic team and go on to create strong and lasting friendships with other Volunteers and staff.

In addition you can expect the following benefits:

  • Social events and behind the scenes previews
  • Discount in gift shops
  • Reward scheme/gifts
  • Practical work experience, where possible
  • Relevant job references
  • Review/feedback for Duke of Edinburgh, Welsh Baccalaureate etc.

If you feel that you could help us, be it regularly or only once every 6 months, we’d love to have you on board.

Admin & Translation

Our admin volunteers assist us with office-based tasks. This could be filing, data input or proof-reading.

When possible, we try to produce our marketing material in both Welsh and English. If you are a proficient Welsh speaker with good language skills, happy to help on a semi-regular basis, we’d love to hear from you. Translation work could be done onsite or from home.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Equality, diversity and accessibility are fundamental values of the Insole Court Trust.

We understand that significant barriers can exist in accessing heritage and culture and we are taking action to ensure they don’t exist here at Insole Court. We will reflect this in our business planning, communications, outreach and engagement, and our activities.

Insole Court Trust and our subsidiary, Insole Court Trading are equal opportunities employers and we will endeavour to attract diverse candidates at all levels of the organisation including staff, volunteers and trustees.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.

Our work is informed by The Equality Act 2010 which provides the legislative framework to achieve our goals of promoting equality of opportunity and to engage with our visitors.
