Growing The Future: Pumpkin Cake. Free Cookery Class 2-5yrs

'Pumpkin Cake' is the first in a series of individual cookery courses being held at the beautiful Insole Court in Llandaff, Cardiff, aimed at pre-school children aged 2-5 years.

We will start the session looking at some fabulous pumpkins, then your child will be guided through making their very own pumpkin cake, complete with a cream cheese topping.

The cake batter will be prepared during the session, then placed in a foil container with a lid for you to take home and bake. You will be provided with a separate container for the icing and recipe to take home containing cooking instructions.

Arty Cooks is very excited to be working with the National Botanic Garden of Wales to deliver this course as part of a fabulous project, 'Growing The Future', which champions Welsh horticulture, plants for pollinators, the protection of wildlife and the virtues of growing plants for food, fun, health and well-being.

This project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.

‘Cacen Pwmpen’ yw’r sesiwn cyntaf mewn cyfres o gyrsiau coginio unigol a gynhelir yn y Cwrt Insole prydferth yn Llandaff, Caerdydd, sy’n addas ar gyfer plant cyn oed ysgol rhwng 2-5 oed.

Byddwn yn dechrau’r sesiwn gan edrych ar bwmpenni gwych, yna bydd eich plentyn yn cael ei thywys trwy wneud ei gacen bwmpen ei hun, ynghyd â haen uchaf o hufen caws.

Bydd cytew'r cacennau’n cael ei baratoi yn ystod y sesiwn ac yna’i osod mewn cynhwysydd ffoil gyda chaead i chi fynd ag ef adref a’i bobi. Byddwch yn cael cynhwysydd ar wahân ar gyfer yr eisin a’r rysáit i fynd adref sy’n cynnwys cyfarwyddiadau coginio.
