The main proven benefits of the Mindfulness –Based Cognitive Therapy for Life 8 -week course is that regular sessions of Mindfulness meditation reduce anxiety, stress, depression, exhaustion and irritability. Regular meditators are happier and more content, while being far less likely to suffer from psychological distress.

MBCT has been recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) since 2004. In 2009, the recommendation was updated and given 'key priority' status.

The course is taught in a suitable and safe environment, in a group of no more than 15 people. The course consists of 8 weekly 2-hour sessions. You will be encouraged to do 30-40 minutes of daily home practice!!

About Clare McRobbie

Clare’s experience in meditation spans over 26 years and she has been practising yoga for over 9 years. She has trained at the University of Bangor and University of Exeter to teach Mindfulness –Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy 8-week courses. She has a PG Diploma in Psychological Therapies and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (Merit)

She also has also trained with Mindfulness in Schools Project and Youth Mindfulness to teach children and young people Paws b and .b Over the last 2 years Clare has taught over 18.8-week Mindfulness Based courses to over 350 members of staff in schools and over 600 young people!

Clare is listed as a Mindfulness teacher on the UK Network for Mindfulness teachers and follows the Good Practice Guidelines for teaching mindfulness-based courses as laid out by the UK Network for Mindfulness Teachers and is currently studying for an MSc in Psychological Therapies and Mindfulness- Based Cognitive Therapies and Approaches at the University of Exeter.
