Yoga is great way to keep yourself healthy and mobile, but it is much more than a form of exercise. Yoga is a transformational process that helps you integrate body, breath, mind and heart. With regular practice, you can rediscover your natural inner calm, sense of wholeness, and connection with others—transforming yourself on every level.

You do not need to be athletic or “double-jointed” to enjoy and benefit from yoga. Liz’s gentle but effective yoga classes are designed for beginners and improvers alike. You will move to your own capacity and comfort, and can start at any age. Leave class feeling refreshed and well prepared to face whatever lies ahead in your day.

When and Where: Come join Liz every Sunday from 10:30 am to 11:30 am in the cozy Billiard’s room (main manor house), and every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the spacious Carriage House Hall (on the courtyard).

What to bring: If you have your own favourite mat or other props, please do bring them with you. A number of mats are also available on a “first-come, first-served” basis, as well as any other props we may need on the day (blocks, straps etc.).

What to wear: Any comfortable, loose clothing is fine. For relaxation, you may like to have a warm sweater, socks or blanket.

About Liz Wigham Yoga: Liz’s gentle, flowing yoga practice combines classic Hatha yoga postures with breath coordination and dynamic “vinyasa” movement to help restore blood flow, energy, and awareness to all the joints and organs of the body. Her systematic yet playful approach helps you explore your own range of motion in a safe and progressive way. Each class is carefully designed to go beyond the physical, creating a natural place of rest for the mind that is conducive to healing and improved concentration throughout the day.

Certified with Yoga Alliance Professionals (UK) as an experienced yoga teacher, Liz brings a deep understanding of human physiology, anatomy and body dynamics to her teaching, gained through extensive training in diverse yoga styles, a career in the life sciences studying human biology at the cellular and molecular levels, and many years of experience as a professional ballet dancer.
