Cymerwch Ran

There are many reasons people volunteer including giving something back to the community, learning new skills and gaining knowledge of local history. You can make friends and feel part of the Insole Court family, get involved in new challenges and gain a sense of achievement.

What would I do as a Volunteer at Insole Court?  We have a whole host of exciting opportunities for our Volunteers to get involved with;  Visitor Centre *Weekly or Fortnightly, 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm  This is the first point of contact for a visit to Insole Court. In the Visitor Centre you would help by taking telephone calls, guiding visitors to the right part of the site, showing people around our hire spaces and selling goods in our shop.  House *Weekly or Fortnightly, 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm  Here you’d be welcoming visitors to the house,  showing them around the beautiful rooms available and facilitating the ‘This House is a Stage’ exhibition. We are also keen to welcome new tour guides who will lead guided tours in the house.  Garden *Drop-in Thursdays 1-3pm  We work closely with Cardiff Council to maintain our gardens to the best standards.  Our Gardening Volunteers currently work on a project-by-project basis coordinated by our Site Support officer.  One-Off/Events/Weddings  We have a list of Volunteers who aren’t able to commit weekly or fortnightly. These Volunteers are called on for all of our special events when we need a group of friends and supporters.  If you feel that you could help us, be it regularly or only once every 6 months, we’d love to have you onboard. Please complete the back of this form and leave it with a member of Staff or one of our Volunteers.
