Insole Court announces departure of Director

Meg
Monday 12th March

Insole Court Trust (ICT), the charity that operates Insole Court mansion and gardens, today announced that Meg Anthony has made the difficult decision to resign as Director, after accepting a new position with the National Trust. The board will begin the process of appointing a new Director shortly. Meg will be assisting ICT in facilitating a smooth transition to the new leadership before departing on Friday 18th May 2018.

Commenting on the announcement, Insole Court Trust Chairman, Sir Norman Lloyd Edwards, said:

‘We are sad that Meg is leaving us but know that for her it is for the best reason: Carmarthenshire is very dear to her, and the opportunity to work for the National Trust as its General Manager throughout the County with its numerous properties is too hard to resist.  We are very grateful for what she has achieved with us these past two years and wish her all happiness in her new position.’

Meg Anthony added, ‘Though I am sad to be leaving the team at Insole Court, I am delighted with what we have achieved in my near two years at the helm. The charity has been succesfully launched, and the house, Stable Yard and gardens have become a new destination for visitors and an asset for the community. It has an exciting momentum that I am sure will continue for years to come. I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to the board for trusting me with the responsibility of seeing the first phase open and allowing me considerable creative input.   It has been a great experience, I have learned much and will be rooting for the project’s continued success.’

Further information on the recruitment process will be published in due course.
