Insole Court Mansion

The Ground Floor of the house is now open to visitors. The Foyer Shop, Reading Room, Drawing Room, Dining Room, Billiard Room and the Butler's Pantry are accessible to guests. Please note that as these hire rooms, they may be unavailable to general visitors at times. Please check for dates of house closures and contact us in advance to avoid disappointment.

This House is a Stage

The experiential exhibition on the first floor of the house.

Daily 10.30am – 3.30pm

The audio show will take place every hour, on the half hour throughout the day.

Our Visitor Centre offers a behind the scenes look at Insole Court’s redevelopment as well as offering information on all the classes and activities now available at The Stable Yard.

The Potting Shed Café

Join us at The Potting Shed, a space that celebrates good, ethical and home-made food.

Please note: During school holidays and bank holidays the Potting Shed will be open from 10am

Mon – Fri 09:30 – 5pm

Weekends 10 – 5pm


Our beautiful gardens have been open to all as a public garden since 1946. They are popular for dog walking, picnics or just admiring the flowers. Access is free and available any time, with pedestrian entrances off Vaughan Avenue and Insole Gardens in addition to the main entrance off Fairwater Road.

Car Parking

There is a free car park available, which includes three designated disabled parking bays.

There are three designated disabled parking bays located within the car park and the site is largely flat with paved routes throughout. We have two wheelchairs onsite for the use of Visitors. If you have any questions about your visit, please get in touch.
